Hey Y’all! I’m Denise Davis, Mom of 2, here in Charlotte, NC. .
I used to love shopping…Now I love consignment shopping.
I spend a lot of time obsessing over the Price per Unit vs the Total Price on The Grocery Bill. I love music and STAR WARS.
I DON’T EAT PRESERVATIVES.
Join me in my daily happenings of Creative Ways to Save Money or two, and when that isn’t possible, finding a product worth the price on the tag, and when that isn’t possible, hows- about a laugh at the lengths I will go just to try? Just another day in the life of a Charlotte NC Blogger.
Four girls (two daughters, the dog, and myself) live here in what shall be called the “Cheap House”, thus making my husband, “The Man of the House,” or “The Man,” for short. Wink, wink.
We eat a real-food based diet. Well, we do when The Man is home. He has been diagnosed with Crohns disease for about 5 years, hence the change in our diet, leading us to a hugely Natural lifestyle. The Man gets roped into a lot of projects around the house that I conjure up with the intention that said-project is “cheaper than moving”, or buying furniture, or something equally easier and less pain-in-the-rear than the project I have actually requested. He knows a lot about concrete (and cement). He isn’t cheap, but I guess that’s good news for me.
Haley was born in 2008, a mini-tree hugger, the-only-meat-I eat-is-Ribs-vegetarian, and my personal stylist. I find myself asking her which earrings to wear- after I have already consulted her on pants and a shirt. Haley is on the Lactaid, she doesn’t like Candy, and she wants her bedroom painted Red.
Dylan, born in 2011, is our awesome baby girl. She laughs at my jokes, she makes goofy faces at the camera, she eats EVERYTHING in sight. I don’t know if she has ever had a new outfit in her life. She loves watching Clemson football with her Daddy; she does NOT like the grocery buggy. That’s a “cart” for all you, shall we politely say, non- southerners.
